When Covid turned everyday life upside down and made meeting people difficult, the entire Norwegian festival industry had to pivot and find new solutions for event-starved festival-goers. Many chose to create digital festivals with exclusive content and live streams for their followers. When Øya Festival was putting together their version, they asked artist Sondre Lerche to contribute content for fans. He chose to call Sølvrev partner William Glandberger, who handled the directing, filming and editing of the entire film. Since Sondre Lerche was working on recording Alone In The Night – which features on Lerche's critically acclaimed latest album Avatars of love – the idea was to follow Lerche through the process and show the sides of an artist's life that festival-goers and listeners don't usually get to see. Over two full days, the director documented the recording of the song – from Lerche being woken up in his apartment in the morning to the studio session with Aurora.

The film was shown as exclusive video content for those who had bought a festival ticket to Øya and was later shared on Sondre Lerche's social media, where it received an excellent reception from fans.
