If there is one thing that has always set Sbanken apart from its competitors, it is transparency. The bank has a goal of always being honest and fair – with the same price for everyone, no loyalty programmes and no hidden costs. What you see is what you get – they are completely transparent. With the campaign "A slightly different bank", advertising agency POL wanted to distil this philosophy and help people understand how wonderful it is to have a bank you can trust. The solution was to create a fully transparent office on Festplassen, letting all passers-by see for themselves that Sbanken is a transparent bank with nothing to hide. Sølvrev was on the team – both filming the stunt and building the installation.

Løsning:
When Sølvrev received the brief from POL, the team immediately fell for the concept, which was clear and perfectly on-brand. With experience from music videos, we were well used to building complex sets made up of many components. Here we distinguished ourselves from the other contenders by embracing POL's wish and vision to shape the transparent office to resemble the bank's app icon. And although building curved forms in that way is challenging, this was something we prioritised highly during production. For the installation to turn out exactly as we wanted, everything from the frame to the glass panels had to be custom-ordered, and we were therefore heavily involved in the design – right down to which screws to use, the exact thickness of the acrylic glass, and how to handle transportation. Since Bergen Municipality restricted the number of days we could use Festplassen, everything had to be rigged in a single day. This meant the producer, director and managing director all rolled up their sleeves and worked until three in the morning in heavy rain to get the last details in place. In addition to the installation, our staff spent three days filming people's reactions on Festplassen. In the meantime, everyone from the bank director to customer service worked at the office, holding meetings, board meetings, brainstorming sessions and user tests for all to see.
Resultat:
The result was a product that absolutely lived up to both the sketch and the agency's vision, attracting the attention of Bergen residents young and old. Some simply looked, while the bolder ones stopped in at the office for a chat. Bergensavisen also took notice of the stunt and chose to write an article about Sbanken's transparent office.
