Oppgave:
Sølvrev was commissioned by MADE Management / Decca Records UK to create the music video for AURORA's song "Cure for Me". The video was to include a larger group of contemporary dancers, draw on vintage music video aesthetics, and feature a set with a floor inspired by Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland".
Løsning:
In light of the energy of the song, we wanted to create a video that brought out Aurora in a free and playful way – where she could express herself freely, playfully and almost rebelliously. By placing the video in a conceptual, almost Burton-esque aesthetic with theatrical elements, "dirty" playful textures, vintage optical effects and a vivid colour palette, blended with contemporary dancers depicting Aurora's encounter with herself, we created a unique visual universe that leaves plenty of room for Aurora's performance and playfully mysterious nature. The team selected for the video are among Norway's foremost professionals in their respective fields, and the video creates an iconic expression for an exciting and distinctive Aurora track.
Teamet som ble valgt til videoen er noen av norges fremste fagpersoner på sine felt, og videoen skaper et ikonisk uttrykk på en spennende og annerledes låt fra Aurora.
Resultat:
For this video, Sølvrev won the prize for best film at SRF's Kuben awards. It has also to date been viewed over 140 million times on YouTube.
