Since the beginning of May, Daniel Eikeland (30) has been serving as the new captain of production company Sølvrev.
Daniel Eikeland comes most recently from the position of COO at Bergen Kino, where he was responsible for operations, commercial development and the management of nearly 100 employees at Bergen's largest cultural institution. His experience also spans sales, recruitment and marketing. The new CEO is very happy with his new workplace and says the following about the transition:
Contacted directly by the founder
After several years of good collaboration, Terje André Helgheim (founder and current CEO) reached out directly to Eikeland and welcomed him to Sølvrev.
"After good dialogue, we agreed together that it was right for both Terje, myself and the company that I should take over as CEO. This is an enormous vote of confidence that I will live up to in the years ahead," Eikeland adds.
Although Eikeland is now taking over as CEO, Terje Helgheim will continue to hold a central role in the company.
"I think that in most companies there comes a point where it is right for the founder to step aside and let more capable operators take the helm, and for Sølvrev we feel that moment has arrived. With Daniel we gain an enormously capable leader with a fresh perspective and new energy to further professionalise Sølvrev's operations and take us to the next level both culturally and in terms of the product we deliver. This will also allow me to spend more of my time on what I am most passionate about – advising and collaborating with our talented clients to achieve fantastic results on their behalf," says Helgheim.

Targeting the agency market
Eikeland has clear ambitions for Sølvrev and wants the production company to become the preferred player in video content in Norway, but also within truly large-scale video productions.
"We are going to be the best at what we do, whatever we set our sights on! We have recently decided to make a bigger push in the agency sector, and I am confident we will succeed! Through collaborations with the likes of Tine and Aurora, we have already proven we have the expertise to deliver on large productions, and we are going to do more of that! At the same time, I love seeing employees succeed in their work and enjoy coming to work. I will therefore focus strongly on maintaining and building on the great culture and environment we have within the company today. We are going to succeed in developing our employees' skills throughout Sølvrev's journey ahead, and be a company that others in the industry want to be a part of," the new CEO concludes enthusiastically.
