Norway's most purchased garage gets to shine in a new film

Igland Garasjen launches a new brand-building film that highlights the garage's presence in everyday life.
"We have tried various approaches to our marketing before, but it has been a while since we made a brand-building video. And since the market is constantly changing, we felt like trying a slightly different angle. When Sølvrev presented their concept to us, they hit the nail on the head by listening to which elements were important to us," says Igland Garasjen's marketing manager, Signe Kalvehagen Gusdal.
"The garage can in many ways feel like an invisible part of everyday life, yet it is always there. It does not get the same attention as the house, but it is where we store the sledges and the winter tyres. It gives us space for more activities in daily life and we pop in almost every day. It simply makes life easier – no standing outside scraping ice. Igland has previously been somewhat more product-oriented in its content, so we wanted to bring out the more human aspect and show how the garage is used by a family throughout a whole year," says Sølvrev concept developer Mariann Lunde.Mariann Lunde, om konseptet.
Four seasons, in just two days.
During the production on the island of Strøno, the team had to film footage representing four seasons – both for the main film and for upcoming content – in just two days.
"Getting the weather right is always a challenge here in western Norway, and we had to move the production twice to get it right. The third attempt turned out to be some of the finest days we got on the west coast all summer," says director William Glandberger. "We were also completely dependent on having talented people both in front of and behind the camera. We were lucky to connect with a family of five where every single member performed brilliantly on camera. There was a bit of sibling squabbling in the breaks, but as soon as any of them stood in front of the lens, it was as if it never happened. So thank you to the Haukaas family for a truly fabulous effort – the talent clearly runs in the family," he continues.

In addition to the main film, Sølvrev has produced a short version, and several campaign cuts are set to be released over autumn, winter and spring.
"As a client we have been able to contribute input throughout the process and have followed it closely. We find that Sølvrev is good at listening and uses its creativity to evoke the right emotions in viewers. We think the result is excellent, and we absolutely believe it can help generate interest among potential garage customers going forward. We look forward to putting both the film and the material to use," Gusdal continues.
"Finally, we must give a shout-out to the Carat/Dentsu team who put us in touch with Signe, who turned out to be one of the nicest people around. Grimstad must be a lovely place," Lunde concludes.
