Lush and "dangerous" from Hillari

Hillari and dance group Quickstyle team up with Sølvrev in new music video.

Hillari er en norsk-filipinsk artist som raskt har skapt et stort navn for seg selv nasjonalt og internasjonalt, med base både i Norge og i statene. Hennes unge alder og kule personlighet gir henne en edge som hun mesterlig blander med et mer modent soul/ RnB-preg i låtene sine. Hun er virkelig en one to watch, som det heter.

• Hillari's team were keen to bring Quickstyle into a central role on this project from early on, and for us at Sølvrev this has been an exciting creative collaboration from the very start. Quickstyle has a completely unique approach to storytelling through choreography, and together we have created a universe that truly gives substance to the track, allowing us to dive into a personal and compelling narrative through an abstract and futuristic tribal world, says producer Christer Dyngeland.

The song is largely about how to balance pride without letting it take over, and keeping your feet firmly on the ground in the face of both highs and lows. This creates an exciting dynamic both in the group setting and in the more personal moments where Hillari performs directly to camera.

The project clearly reflects the decision to bring together an exceptionally talented group of professionals across everything from choreography and dancers to styling, art direction – and above all, a clear vision from Hillari and her own team.

• Here we have had the opportunity to play and collaborate with other creative people who genuinely burn for what they do and have poured a great deal of heart and soul into the production from start to finish. We truly feel we have managed to create a film where we get closer to Hillari, and where she gets to express herself in multiple ways in front of the camera. Some might say it is dangerous to be this ambitious – but we think it is more dangerous not to be, concludes Sølvrev director Sigurd Fossen.
